Bob Silverstein brings over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist/counselor, crisis manager, organizational change consultant and executive coach to his clients. He has served as both a planner and troubleshooter for management and employees before, during, and/or after a work site disruption that traumatically affects members of the workforce. He addresses issues such as terrorism, natural disasters, downsizing, reorganization, strike, and workplace crisis (including employee death or crime). Previously, Bob served as the Clinical Director of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation employee Assistance and Trauma Intervention Program and as a consultant with Partners International, where he implemented intervention and planning services, employee and management consultation, and training to their client companies, in response to the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001.
Bob has appeared on CNBC and NewsTalk Television. He has published in HR Focus and is a sought after presenter to professional and business groups. He received his M.S.W. from the Hunter College School of Social Work in 1980. Bob has also been trained in a variety of psychotherapy, crisis and trauma techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) and Breath-Body-Mind Breathing Meditation.
