Prerequisite: Completion of a Level-1 Breath-Body-Mind Teacher Training

In this second level of the BBM teacher training sequence, you further develop your skills in teaching BBM techniques for stress, anxiety disorders, PTSD, military trauma, post-disaster, depression, ADHD, and stress-related medical conditions. Specific methods you learn to teach in this program include:

  • "Ha" breath, coherent breathing, breath moving, 4-4-6-2 breathing, Qigong 4-4 breath, Ocean Breath, Alternate Nostril Breathing, Tapping

  • The Four Golden Wheels

  • The Great Harmonizer of the Breath

  • Body scan, Guided meditation/relaxation

  • Focus is on developing skills and confidence in teaching groups

  • BBM beginning practices for Children

  • Precautions in teaching individuals with psychiatric and medical conditions

  • Integrating Breath Practices with other therapies

Increase understanding of neurophysiological effects of voluntarily regulated breathing practices on emotion regulation, bonding, and cognitive function. Practice teaching groups while faculty observe and offer suggestions for improvement. Attention is given to creating a safe container, tone of voice, pacing, accuracy of instruction, trauma sensitivity, planning teaching sequences, developing teaching materials.  

With the completion of Level-2 Teacher Training participants will acquire the skills to: 

  • Teach BBM practices to individuals and groups

  • Develop teaching sequences

  • Assist others in teaching Breath-Body-Mind Workshops

  • Conduct follow-up session for those seeking ongoing practice

  • Offer further guidance to beginners in these techniques of self-regulation

  • Help develop programs in their communities and workplaces
